Acrylic Laser Cutting & Etching

Request laser-cut acrylic parts, letters, signs or etched graphics from your design. We review the acrylic grade, thickness, drawing and finish before confirming the cutting or etching scope.

Acrylic cutting and etched detail

Laser cutting can produce flat acrylic shapes, letters, display pieces and custom components. Etching adds graphics or identification to a suitable acrylic surface. Cast and extruded acrylic in clear, coloured or specialty finishes are reviewed against the design and desired result.

This is a laser process. It does not use router bits, and the material choices and finish differ from mechanical router cutting.

Files and artwork for review

  • Provide a dimensioned PDF and vector artwork such as DXF, SVG, AI or EPS when available. Share a download link or email the files.
  • Identify cut lines and etched areas separately, including the finished dimensions and units.
  • Specify the acrylic grade, thickness, colour, quantity and visible edge requirements.
  • Flag fine detail, small holes, tight spacing or critical dimensions so the team can assess the design.

Materials and design limits

PVC is not accepted for laser cutting. Unidentified plastics and other polymer grades require a separate material and process review; a list of router-compatible plastics is not a laser material approval.

For parts that suit mechanical cutting, compare CNC router cutting. For bonded or bent assemblies, see acrylic fabrication.

Location, finish and scheduling

Victoria and Mission have confirmed corporate CNC laser capability. Material availability, achievable detail, dimensions, tolerances and timing are confirmed with the reviewed quote. Share your city and postal code so we can confirm the appropriate location and logistics.

Questions before you request a quote

Can you laser-cut PVC?

No. PVC is not an accepted laser-cutting material. Ask us to review an appropriate mechanical cutting process or alternative material.

Can I send a logo or a sketch?

Send the best artwork you have and the intended size. We will explain any vector artwork or drawing preparation needed before quoting.

Will laser-cut edges need finishing?

The result depends on the acrylic grade, thickness and design. Specify your appearance requirements so the quote can address the appropriate cutting and finishing scope.

What happens next

  1. Share your project

Send dimensions, material, quantity and a drawing or photos when available.

  2. Review the scope

We assess the process, service location and any information needed to quote.

  3. Confirm the quote

Price, tolerances, timing and pickup or delivery are confirmed for the agreed work.
