Product details and technical data

Product information

Nylatech® SL Cast Nylon 6 Sheet. Solid-lubricant-modified cast PA6 for machined sliding-wear components.

Select thickness and area

Sold per square foot (SFT): quantity 1 = 1 sq ft. Select a 0.25" to 4" thickness. Standard stock is 2' × 4'; one full sheet contains 8 SFT.

For cut pieces, specify length × width and piece count. The SFT quantity alone does not define a cutting layout.

Choosing Nylatech® SL

Consider Nylatech® SL where external lubrication is difficult. Compare Nylatech® Oil-Filled for liquid-oil lubrication or Nylatech® PVM when evaluating bearing pressure and sliding speed together.

Sheet or plate is a starting form for flat wear pads, strips and machined profiles. Plan the part layout and finished thickness before selecting stock.

Other sheet grades: Nylatech® Natural · Nylatech® Natural-Oil · Nylatech® Blue · Nylatech® MD · Nylatech® Oil-Filled · Nylatech® MD-Oil · Nylatech® PVM · Nylatech® Super Black · Nylatech® Food Grade Blue.

Allow for machining: dimensions are nominal stock sizes, not finished-part tolerances. Nylon absorbs moisture; consider dimensional change, temperature, chemicals and operating loads when specifying close-fitting parts.
