The Importance of Surface Stabilization in Construction and Landscaping

Surface stabilization is crucial in both construction and landscaping, enhancing load-bearing capacity, preventing erosion and structural shifting, and improving drainage. It ensures safer, more durable foundations for buildings and outdoor features like patios and walkways, while also supporting healthy plant growth and sustainable water management.

Common Applications

PrismaGrid® Geocell Tiles offer a versatile, durable solution for stabilizing surfaces in both urban and rural settings. Ideal for park paths, rural driveways, farm and access roads, and golf courses. They also support erosion control, retaining walls, and hot tub perimeters. Their strength and drainage make them perfect for temporary surfaces, event parking, and workshop floors, ensuring stability and aesthetics across a wide range of uses.

Simple Steps

Installing PrismaGrid®

Clear the area of debris, vegetation, and loose soil. Level the surface as much as possible.
For added stability, especially in high-traffic or load-bearing areas, lay a compacted base of gravel, crushed stone, or road base.
Start at one corner and lay the 22" x 35" tiles by interlocking them together. The tiles snap into place without the need for tools.
Depending on your application, you can fill the cells with gravel, soil, sand, turf mix, or other materials to enhance stability and appearance.
Lightly compact the fill material to ensure a firm, even surface.
