Common roll-stock formats
Polyethylene film and sheeting is used for greenhouse, construction, vapour-barrier and protective applications depending on the specific grade and thickness. Clear flexible PVC/vinyl is used for flexible glazing and protective panels. Polyester/Mylar film is used where a thin, dimensionally stable film is required. Sign vinyl is supplied in colour ranges for graphics and sign work.
How roll stock is sold
Ordering depends on the product. Continuous material may be sold by LFT or YRD. A defined full roll is sold as EA, even when the roll contains many feet of material. Product pages identify the width, thickness or gauge, supplied length and applicable ordering unit.
Because roll-stock materials can differ significantly in flexibility, clarity, UV exposure, chemical resistance and intended end use, confirm the exact material rather than selecting by thickness alone. LDPE roll stock and sheet
