We offer a selection of resins to suit general fabrication and construction needs, as well as architectural and manufacturing applications. Our selection features high-strength resins that can be used to repair, build, or strengthen a wide range of fiberglass surfaces.
Types of Polyester Resins
Our polyester resin collection includes vinyl ester, orthopthalic, high strength isophthalic resin and specialty resin for surfboard construction or repair. Vinyl Ester is a thixotropic laminating resin that boasts high heat distortion temperature (HDT), corrosion resistance and superior blister resistance. Every quart or gallon of this laminating resin features a stable, pre-promoted gel and cure formulation to ensure consistent results in skin coating or hand lay-up. This provides customers with an affordable way to repair boats, tanks, automotive bodies, decks, furniture and more.
Make stable polyester molds or repair tank linings with the help of isophthalic resin. This high-strength solution delivers excellent resistance to chemicals, corrosion, fuel, temperature, and more. Studies have also shown that fiberglass reinforced with isophthalic resin has higher flexural and tensile properties than panels reinforced with orthophthalic resin, making it ideal for more demanding applications.
Expand the potential of your operations by stocking up on clear surfboard resin. When flexed, this impact-resistant resin resists cracking and crazing. Catalysts are sold separately.
Resin Additives and Accessories
In addition to plastic resin, we also provide catalysts and other supplies you need. Mixing a polyester catalyst or cobalt curing agent into the resin speeds up cure time and helps it harden for better durability. Use MEKP liquid catalyst for all-purpose curing. Specialty surface curing agents are available if you want the hardened resin to be sandable. Other products include styrene monomer to thin the resin for better coverage and Gojo® Fast Orange to clean your hands and tools.

Resin Fillers & Dyes
When using epoxy or polyester resins for repairing plastic or creating new items, you sometimes need fillers, dyes, and other additives to achieve the desired results. When it comes to increasing the bond strength between two materials, making them stronger or getting them to look the way you want, Industrial Plastics is the ultimate source for such projects. We offer a variety of resin fillers and colour products for strong, colorful and lasting results.
Customize Your Epoxy or Polyester Resins
One of the most versatile products we supply are plastic filler resins. When added to polyester or epoxy resins, these fillers can dramatically change the properties of the final product and make resins thixotropic — i.e. temporarily change the thickness to make the resin more workable — without increasing viscosity. Industrial Plastics has an assortment of plastic epoxy fillers that can be added to epoxy, polyester resin and other common fabrication materials. Fumed silica such as Cab-O-Sil anti-sag make resin harder and stronger while reducing sag. Anti-Sag is a synthetic, hydrophilic amorphous silica that can be applied as a thickening agent in various resins, adhesives, cosmetics, and other products. Cab-O-Sil controls sag and allows work on overhead surfaces. We offer several sizes to choose from, so you can stock up or save on just enough for your needs.
GoIndustrial Microspheres (better known as Profil) hollow glass spheres can be used as an epoxy plastic filler that adds air particles to solid materials to lower their total weight. This white filler can displace up to six times the resin’s normal weight while making it easier to fabricate and sand down. We also offer GoIndustrial Milled Glass Fibers which are designed to increase mechanical, impact, tensile, flexural, and compressive strength. This efficient resin filler also improves dimensional stability and can be combined with Cab-O-Sil “anti-sag” when you need a non-sagging resin for overhead use.
Need a solution that increases the structural strength and stability of resin? Look no further than GoIndustrial Chopped Fiber. This epoxy fiberglass filler reinforces resin, makes the final product harder and reduces shrinkage. If you’re trying to lower the overall costs of a resin casting or repair project, use Talc filler powder. This heavy gap filler lowers shrinkage and generates less heat during the curing process.
Simple Plastic Resin Tinting
While stocking up on resin filler, remember to check out our collection of resin dye. Our own premium pigments can be used for coloring fiberglass-reinforced plastics, polyester, or epoxy. When doing epoxy fabrication and repair in high-visibility areas, the right epoxy dye can greatly improve the optics. Use our assortment of epoxy pigments and dyes for everything from boat repairs to Live-Edge tables and even casting custom jewelry.
We also offer a vast collection of plastic dye colors that can be customized to suit a specific application. Multi-color metallic pigment & flakes can give deep pour resin a pearl-like shine that is ideal for jewelry and river tables. Are you performing repair work? Blend any colors to create any hue on a color wheel.
If you need solid colors, use MIXOL® brand pigments. These generic use colors can be added to epoxy, polyester, polyurethane, or vinyl ester and so much more. For a transparent or translucent color in casting resin, add transparent resin dyes. How bold the color is depending on how much pigment or dye is mixed in, so experiment to find the perfect shade. MIXOL® is concentrated and pourable, making them a smart solution for casting rubber parts, models, and more. We offer a wide variety of epoxy dye colors to choose from, so you can find the best solution.

Fiberglass Fabrics
What is Fiberglass Fabric?
Fiberglass is a composite material or a material that is made from a combination of two materials with different physical and chemical properties. Fiberglass cloth is made from plastic that is reinforced by woven glass filaments.
Why Use Fiberglass Supplies?
Fiberglass is used in many different industries due to its versatile advantages. Fiberglass is non-flammable, has a high temperature and humidity resistance and is resistant to chemical and biological effects. In addition, it has dimensional stability, good thermal dissipation of heat that is faster than other fibers, high tensile strength, high thermal endurance and low moisture absorption.
Fiberglass fabric is affordable, simple to handle and easy to maintain. Fiberglass fabric has a wide range of weaves, sizes and finishes, which makes it popular for a wide range of Industrial uses. With our stable fiberglass fabric that has an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, you will be satisfied with our fiberglass fabric for any project, large or small.
Our selection includes E-glass, S-2 glass, and multiple types of industrial fiberglass cloth tapes. We carry lightweight, midweight, standard, and heavyweight cloths made from strands of continuous glass filaments that are plied and twisted into yarn. Our modified twill is ideally suited to complex shapes because it has excellent draping ability. Deck cloth may be better suited to applications in which transparency is important. If you would like to avoid a resin-rich laminate on your boat, our woven roving cloth may be the best solution.
E-Glass fiberglass fabric is the industry standard for a combination of economy and strength.
S-2 Glass Cloth is a fiberglass cloth that uses high-performance glass with greater strength and rigidity than E-Glass. S-2 glass is slightly stronger and stiffer than E-glass, making it popular for surfboards, windsurfing boards, or anything where a high strength-to-weight ratio is required. Between two kinds of glass cloth, you can meet the needs of whatever project awaits you. In addition to fiberglass fabrics, we also offer an array of fiberglass tapes that can be used for glass seams, repairing broken masts, or reinforcing other laminates throughout the automotive or aviation industries as well as surfboards and sailboards.
Specialty Fabrics
Specialty fabrics, also known as performance fabrics, are manufactured for specific applications. The fibers used have unique properties suited to certain tasks, meaning the right fabric will outperform any other option.
