Food Safe Hardwax-Oil
Osmo TopOil High Solid is a food-safe Hardwax-Oil designed for countertops that is extremely tough and hard-wearing. It is resistant to common liquid spillages such as wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk, and water according to DIN 68861-1A. These liquids bead tightly on the surface without leaving marks and can be easily cleaned by wiping with a cloth.
- DIN and EN rated for direct contact with food
- Ideal for countertops, tabletops, chopping boards, etc.
- Very durable and hard-wearing – water and chemical resistant
- Saliva-resistant and sweatproof, suitable for children’s toys
- Microporous finish that does not crack, peel, or flake

Renewable Raw Materials
Based on highly refined renewable raw materials, including soybean, sunflower, and thistle oils, as well as carnauba and candelilla waxes. Comparison tests have proven these products are among the longest-lasting natural coating systems available.
Safe for Humans, Plants, and Animals
When fully dry, the finish complies with DIN EN 71.3 (suitable for children’s toys) and DIN 53160 (resistant to perspiration and saliva), making it safe for humans, animals, and plants.
Protection Inside and Out
The oils penetrate deep into the wood’s pores, while the hard waxes form a breathable protective barrier on the surface. These finishes meet the strict requirements of DIN 68861-1A for resistance to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk, and water.
