A 55-gallon reconditioned plastic tight-head drum with two NPT fittings and two buttress fittings. This drum is made from industrial-strength high-molecular-weight polyethylene (HMWPE), similar to HDPE but more durable. Extra-thick walls provide superior performance and long-lasting durability. The seamless closed-head construction is suitable for outdoor use.
This drum can be used as a rain barrel, floating barrel or buoy, or as a storage container for chemicals, oils, and other industrial materials.
Reconditioned poly drums are ideal for rainwater catchment, dock flotation, and many other non-potable applications. Each drum undergoes a rigorous cleaning process to ensure remnants of prior contents are removed; however, these drums are not suitable for potable water.
Drums may also be used to store LNAPL-contaminated water for construction and soil remediation applications.
