THI-VEX is specifically designed to thicken Smooth-On silicone rubbers for vertical surface applications such as brush-on molds. Different viscosities can be achieved by varying the amount of thickener added. THI-VEX is added as a percentage of Part A and must be thoroughly mixed with Parts A and B. The product is skin safe and certified by an independent laboratory.

THI-VEX is not compatible with Mold Max 40, Mold Max 60, or Solaris silicone systems.

Safety – Use in a properly ventilated area. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk.

Store and use material at room temperature (73°F / 23°C). This product has a limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible.

Measuring and mixing – When using Mold Max silicone, the brush-on mold process may be accelerated with compatible catalyst or cure accelerators. Because silicones may have long working times, the time between coats can be several hours. Accelerators can reduce the total process time to a matter of hours.

Mixing – Add the desired amount of thickener and mix thoroughly. Scrape sides and bottom of the mixing container several times during mixing. Be aware of working time. Results may vary depending on temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions.

Because no two applications are quite the same, a small test application is recommended to determine suitability when performance is in question.
