Plastic Welding & Repair Assessment

Ask for an assessment of a damaged plastic tank or fabricated part. Share photos, material information and the part’s service conditions so the team can review repair feasibility and the appropriate shop capability.

Assess the material and damage first

A repair depends on the plastic grade, condition, contamination, damage and intended service. Thermal welding requires compatible materials and a suitable process; a plastic name alone is not a guarantee that a repair can be completed.

The team can review cracks, leaks and proposed modifications for compatible tanks or fabricated parts. We confirm the available shop, repair approach and limits before accepting work.

Information for a repair review

  • Photos of the whole part and close-ups of the damage, including the underside or interior when safe and accessible.
  • Material identification, tank or part manufacturer and model, dimensions and any previous repair.
  • Stored liquid or other contents, heat, chemical, pressure or loading conditions, and the consequence of a leak or failure.
  • City, postal code, quantity and the date you need the part.

Arrange an assessment before bringing or shipping a part. The reviewing shop must confirm preparation requirements and whether the part can be accepted.

Repair limits and other options

We do not promise restoration of the original strength, a pressure rating or regulatory compliance from a general repair inquiry. Potable-water, fuel, chemical and other regulated applications need exact specifications and a review of whether repair is appropriate.

For new ports or fittings, see custom tank fittings. Browse replacement tank options if repair is not appropriate.

Questions before you request a quote

Can all thermoplastics be welded?

Repairability depends on the exact material, condition and process. Send material identification and application information for a capability review.

Should I bring the part to a shop immediately?

Start with photos and the request form. Arrange acceptance and assessment with the reviewing shop before bringing or shipping the part.
