Air Dry Wax in a 250 mL container is a wax additive used with compatible unwaxed polyester resin or gelcoat to help the exposed surface cure tack-free.
Wax additive and MEKP catalyst perform different functions: Air Dry Wax does not replace the catalyst required by the resin system. Follow the resin manufacturer’s instructions for compatibility, addition rate and any preparation needed before applying another layer.
For a finishing layer, confirm whether your resin already contains wax before adding more. Read the product label and applicable safety information before use.
