Professional PVC vinyl adhesive for durable, flexible repairs
HH-66 Vinyl Cement is an industrial-strength contact adhesive made for flexible PVC vinyl and vinyl-coated fabrics. It creates a waterproof, flexible bond for repairs and fabrication involving vinyl tarps, inflatables, pool liners, awnings, tents, covers and other compatible PVC products.
Customers may also search for this product as HH66 or HH 66. These names all refer to HH-66 Vinyl Cement from RH Adhesives.
Where HH-66 works best
- Vinyl tarp repair: patch tears and holes in compatible PVC-coated truck tarps, covers and curtains.
- Inflatable repair: bond compatible PVC vinyl patches to recreational inflatables and other non-safety-critical products.
- Pool and pond liners: make compatible PVC vinyl patches where the liner manufacturer permits an adhesive repair.
- Awnings, tents and covers: bond or patch compatible vinyl-coated fabric while retaining flexibility.
- Manufacturing and maintenance: join PVC vinyl and vinyl-coated materials in shops, maintenance programs and field repair kits.
Material compatibility
| Material or application | Guidance |
|---|---|
| Flexible PVC vinyl | Primary recommended substrate. |
| Vinyl-coated and vinyl-laminated fabrics | Common repair and fabrication use; confirm the coating and test when uncertain. |
| PVC inflatables, tarps, awnings and pool liners | Suitable when the item manufacturer permits an adhesive patch and the surrounding material is sound. |
| Polyethylene or polypropylene tarps | Not compatible. Typical blue poly tarps are usually polyethylene. |
| Hypalon, very stretchy marine upholstery or unknown coated fabric | Do not assume compatibility. Ask our technical team or follow the product manufacturer's repair specification. |
| Safety-critical, structural or regulated inflatable repairs | Follow the equipment manufacturer's approved repair procedure and inspection requirements. |
Choose the right container size
| Size | Typical use |
|---|---|
| 4 oz / 118 mL | Small repairs and occasional maintenance. |
| 8 oz / 237 mL | Several household, marine or field repairs. |
| 16 oz / 473 mL | Regular maintenance and larger patching jobs. |
| 32 oz / 946 mL | Repair shops, maintenance teams and repeated use. |
| 1 gallon / 3.78 L | Commercial fabrication and high-volume repair work. |
RH Adhesives gives a general planning rule of approximately one fluid ounce for one square foot of both surfaces being bonded. Actual use varies with the substrate, application method and waste. Follow the current container directions rather than treating this as a guaranteed yield.
Application essentials
- Confirm that both surfaces are compatible PVC vinyl or vinyl-coated material.
- Work in a properly ventilated area away from flames, sparks and other ignition sources.
- Prepare and clean the surfaces using the current RH Adhesives directions and the item manufacturer's requirements.
- Apply a thin, controlled film to the required surfaces and observe the specified coat sequence and open time.
- Position carefully, press firmly and roll the bond to remove trapped air.
- Keep the repair unloaded for the full cure period stated in the current directions before testing or returning it to service.

Safety: HH-66 is a flammable solvent-based adhesive. Read the current label and SDS before use, provide the required ventilation and personal protective equipment, and keep the product away from heat, sparks, flames and smoking. Product formulations, substrates and repair requirements can change; the current manufacturer documents and equipment-maker instructions take precedence.
