King PipeGrade® Black HDPE Sheet | PE100 / PE4710
Black PE100 / PE4710 HDPE sheet and plate for machining and thermoplastic welding.
King PipeGrade® is black PE100 / PE4710 HDPE sheet for fabricated industrial components. Its smooth faces, UV stabilization and suitability for thermoplastic welding make it a useful starting material for flanges, end caps, gussets, tanks and machined parts. This listing is for sheet and plate stock; the application photographs show examples of fabricated assemblies.
Buy by the square foot
Prices are in Canadian dollars per square foot (SFT). Select your thickness, then enter the total square-foot quantity and your required piece dimensions. For example, two pieces measuring 12 × 24 inches require 4 SFT. Piece count and billed square footage are different quantities.
Our standard SKU range is ¼″, ⅜″, ½″, ¾″, 1″, 1¾″, 2¼″, 2½″ and 3½″. Availability follows the selected thickness. Other thicknesses are Custom Order only: request price and delivery before ordering.
Need a 4 × 8 ft or 5 × 10 ft sheet? Discuss the thickness, sheet format, handling and delivery with our team. Full-sheet formats are not online size selections. Freight and pickup arrangements depend on the actual pieces and destination.
Choosing PipeGrade HDPE
Choose PipeGrade when the job calls for a black industrial polyethylene grade that can be machined or thermoplastically welded. For a general-purpose sheet, compare our HDPE range; for a marine building panel, review King StarBoard. Match the grade to the drawing and service conditions before substituting materials.
PipeGrade is not a flame-retardant grade. A sheet material designation does not establish the pressure rating of a finished tank, flange or piping assembly. Confirm the design, joining method, chemical exposure, temperature and applicable approvals for the finished component.
Material data
The following are King Plastic's nominal laboratory values for black PipeGrade. They are selection guidance, not guaranteed design limits.
| Property | Nominal value | ASTM method |
|---|---|---|
| Density | 0.949 g/cm³ | D792 |
| Tensile strength at yield | 3,630 psi | D638 |
| Flexural modulus, 2% secant | 150,000 psi | D790 |
| Notched tensile creep resistance (PENT) | >10,000 hours | F1473 |
Thickness is nominal. Manufacturing tolerances depend on the process and gauge; specify any machining allowance or critical finished dimension when requesting a quote. Ask for the applicable documentation when the project requires a particular cell classification or potable-water compliance.
