Small-format solvent contact cement for controlled repair work

Weldwood Solvent Contact Cement, 3 oz is a brush-grade contact adhesive for bonding compatible materials where a strong, flexible bond and a compact container are useful. For an EVA traction pad on a confirmed PVC inflatable SUP, it is the best currently listed GoIndustrial candidate—but the exact pad and board surface must be pre-tested before a full repair.

Potential uses

  • EVA traction-pad repair: a candidate for reattaching compatible EVA foam to a confirmed PVC SUP skin after a successful material test.
  • Small laminating and repair tasks: suitable only where the current DAP instructions list the materials and service conditions.
  • Portable repair kits: the 3 oz container suits occasional, controlled jobs.

Important compatibility limits

Contact cement is not universal. DAP requires a pre-test on foam, and its solvents can damage some materials. Confirm the SUP skin with the board manufacturer, test the exact EVA and PVC in an inconspicuous area, and stop if either surface softens, swells, wrinkles, discolours or loses its coating.

Do not use this product to seal a SUP puncture, valve leak or structural seam. For compatible PVC puncture repairs, use the adhesive and patch system approved for the board material.

Reattaching an EVA SUP traction pad?

Read the inflatable SUP repair guide for material checks, pre-testing and a controlled EVA-to-PVC bonding method.

Application essentials

  1. Read the current label, technical data sheet and safety data sheet.
  2. Confirm and pre-test both materials before preparing the full repair area.
  3. Work with the required ventilation and personal protective equipment, away from flames, sparks, heat and smoking.
  4. Apply only as directed by DAP, including coat coverage, open time, assembly pressure and cure time.
  5. Keep the bond unloaded until the specified cure is complete, then inspect it before service.

Package size: 3 oz.
