Inspect and dry-fit
Remove failed material until both sides are sound. Confirm fit, clamp access and load direction. A badly fitting structural joint should be redesigned or filled according to the epoxy manufacturer’s guidance, not forced closed.

Prepare each substrate
Wood should be clean, dry and freshly abraded. Fibreglass needs coatings, wax and contamination removed before sanding to a sound surface. Metals often need a substrate-specific degreasing and abrasion sequence, followed promptly by bonding.

Mix resin and hardener accurately
Dispense at the exact ratio and mix until uniform, scraping the sides and bottom. Do not alter the ratio to change working time.

Wet out both surfaces
Brush a thin coat of unthickened epoxy over the prepared areas. Porous wood end grain may absorb resin and need attention before assembly.

Thicken for the joint
Add the specified adhesive filler to a fresh portion of mixed epoxy until it will bridge the joint without draining. Avoid adding so much filler that the mixture becomes dry and difficult to spread.
