Choose Interlux paint by where it will be used

  • Below the waterline: compare antifouling products such as Micron CSC CA and Bottomkote CA. The hull material, existing coating and how the boat is used determine suitability.
  • Topsides: browse Toplac Plus yacht enamel. Choose the colour and package volume for your project; follow the specified preparation and primer system.
  • Decks: see Interdeck non-skid deck paint for its intended surfaces and application requirements.
  • Woodwork: compare clear finishes such as Original Varnish and Goldspar Satin. Interior and exterior varnishes have different intended uses.

Plan primers, repair materials and preparation together

A finish is one part of a coating system. Browse InterProtect 2000E, Pre-Kote Plus and Epoxy Primekote for their specific system roles. For filling work, review Watertite epoxy filler. These products are not interchangeable: use the current technical data to establish substrate and overcoating compatibility.

Choose only the cleaner or reducer specified for the coating and application method. The range includes Brushing Liquid 333 and Reducing Solvent 2333N. Do not substitute a general solvent without checking the manufacturer instructions.

How to choose a coating system

Start with five details: the substrate, whether the surface is above or below water, the existing coating, the condition of that coating, and the application method. Use the manufacturer's coverage and coat schedule to estimate quantities. Colour and package sizes vary by product; the choices shown on each product page identify the orderable variants, not a guarantee of branch stock.

Interlux technical and safety information

Use Interlux Canada's official product catalogue for current product information and document links. Read the product-specific technical data sheet, safety data sheet and label before preparation or application. Application temperature, recoat intervals, thinning and personal protection depend on the exact product and conditions.

Common buying questions

Can topside paint be used below the waterline?

Choose a coating explicitly intended for the surface and exposure. Do not assume a topside finish substitutes for an antifouling or underwater coating system.

Can I paint over my existing coating?

Identify the old coating and check the new product's compatibility and preparation instructions. If the existing coating is unknown, send our team photos and project details before ordering a full system.

Which colour and size should I order?

Select the product first, then its colour and package volume. Use the manufacturer's coverage information for your planned coat count and surface area. Ask us about products or quantities that are not offered online.
