Compare Nylatech® grades
| Grade | When to consider it |
|---|---|
| Nylatech® Natural | Unfilled cast PA6 for general-purpose machined wear parts. |
| Nylatech® Oil-Filled | Internally oil-lubricated nylon for sliding and rotating wear parts where lubrication access is difficult. |
| Nylatech® Blue | Heat-stabilized nylon. Assess operating temperature together with load and duty cycle. |
| Nylatech® MD | Molybdenum-disulfide-modified nylon for wear-duty components. |
| Nylatech® Natural-Oil | Oil-lubricated nylon for applications requiring food-contact documentation. |
| Nylatech® MD-Oil | Moly modification plus oil lubrication for loaded parts with slow relative motion. |
| Nylatech® SL | Solid-lubricant-modified nylon for sliding wear surfaces. |
| Nylatech® PVM | A candidate when bearing pressure and sliding speed are central to material selection. |
| Nylatech® Super Black | Black, heat- and UV-stabilized nylon with heat-stabilized Nylatech® Blue properties. |
| Nylatech® Food Grade Blue | Food-grade Nylatech® Natural properties in blue, for visual identification. Colour does not make it metal- or X-ray-detectable. |
For food-contact service, confirm documentation for the exact grade and intended operating conditions. Nylatech® Food Grade Blue is offered in sheet and rod; it is not part of this tube range.
Understand the buying unit
- Sheet: quantity 1 means 1 square foot (SFT). A full 2' × 4' sheet is 8 SFT.
- Rod: quantity 1 means 1 linear foot (LFT). Total footage does not define individual cut lengths.
- Tube: quantity 1 means one piece (EA). Standard length is fixed at 26" or 52" for the selected OD/ID combination.
For sheet and rod cutting, specify piece dimensions and counts as well as the total material quantity. Check the selected size, price, stock status and unit before ordering.
Check the operating conditions
Nylon absorbs moisture, which can change dimensions and stiffness. Review fit, temperature, load, speed and lubrication before specifying a grade. Where moisture stability is critical, compare acetal (POM-C). Consider UHMW for alternative wear-stock applications. Use the grade data sheet and finished-part requirements together.
Custom stock and finished parts
Contact our team for sheet sizes other than 2' × 4', custom rod or tube lengths, or CNC-finished parts in any shape. Include a drawing if available, dimensions, quantity and operating conditions.

Custom orders and delivery
Nylatech® cast nylon is manufactured on request when your selected size is not in stock. Standard lead time: 3–5 weeks. Request a Price and Delivery for the selected variant; our team confirms the timing and delivery arrangements for your order.
Include your destination postal code and cutting requirements. Large or heavy stock may require a freight quotation; the delivery method and cost are confirmed for the material, dimensions and destination. Pickup arrangements are confirmed with the fulfilling corporate branch.
Industrial Plastics & Paints operates GoIndustrial.com through corporate stores in Victoria, Mission, Richmond and Kelowna. Calgary, Nanaimo and Courtenay are independent franchises; customers in their territories are routed to the local franchise for pricing, availability and ordering. Find your location.
Cast nylon buying questions
What is cast nylon 6?
Cast nylon 6 (PA6) is an engineering thermoplastic used as machining stock for bushings, rollers, guides and wear components. Select the grade for the load, movement, temperature, lubrication and environment.
Can cast nylon replace nylon 101 or extruded nylon 6/6?
Cast PA6 and extruded PA66 are distinct materials. Do not substitute solely by colour or the word “nylon”. For a Nylon 101 or PA66 specification, request an exact-material review with the drawing, dimensions and operating conditions.
How do the buying units work?
Sheet is sold per square foot: quantity 1 = 1 SFT, and a full 2' × 4' sheet is 8 SFT. Rod is sold per linear foot: quantity 1 = 1 LFT; specify individual piece lengths. Tube is sold per piece at the selected variant’s fixed 26" or 52" standard length. Confirm the unit and selected size before ordering.
What happens when the selected size has zero stock?
Use Request a Price and Delivery. Nylatech® cast nylon is manufactured on request, with a standard 3–5-week lead time. Our team confirms pricing, timing and delivery arrangements for your requirement. The enquiry does not reserve inventory or place a paid order.
Which grade should I consider for food contact?
Request the manufacturer’s declaration for the exact grade and intended food-contact conditions. Nylatech® Natural, Nylatech® Natural-Oil and Nylatech® Food Grade Blue are starting points for that review; material documentation does not certify a finished part. Nylatech® Food Grade Blue is offered in sheet and rod in this catalogue.
Can I request cut stock or CNC-finished parts?
Yes. Send a drawing if available, grade, finished dimensions, piece counts and operating conditions. SFT or LFT quantity alone does not define a cutting layout. Nonstandard sheet sizes, custom rod or tube lengths and finished parts require an enquiry.
Can I order for delivery into a franchise territory?
Corporate ecommerce does not fulfil into independent franchise territories. Include your destination postal code so our team can route the enquiry to the appropriate corporate branch or franchise. Franchise pricing and availability may differ.
