Which acrylic sheet fits the job?
- Clear cast: generally less prone to melting or chipping during machining than extruded acrylic.
- Clear extruded: generally offers tighter thickness tolerance and faster thermoforming than cast acrylic. Match the grade to the drawing and process.
- Coloured, frosted or textured: choose the required appearance and light transmission from the listed finish.
- Mirror and specialty sheet: check the backing, surface and intended use on the individual listing.
Acrylic provides a clear viewing surface, but surface hardness, impact performance and fabrication behaviour depend on the selected product. For protective glazing, compare the requirements with polycarbonate before choosing a material.
Order by area and finished size
For SFT listings, quantity is square footage. Provide the finished length, width and number of pieces in the cutting instructions; the same total area can describe very different cuts. Follow the product's shipping-size limits for large panels.
